hello there!
spreading the word of GOD can be difficult amidst these times,
but nothing good ever came easy.
this is a blog by ellyanna to help you learn more about
faith and the existence of our savior.
to start off, choose a villager!
yes, indeed!
here are five reasons why
1. God makes sense of the origin of the universe.
2. God makes sense of the fine-tuning of the universe for intelligent life.
3. God makes sense of objective, moral values in the world.
4. God makes sense of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.
5. God can be immediately known and experienced.
GOD's existence makes a difference because:
1. Life is Ultimately Meaningless Without God - If your life is doomed to end in death, then ultimately it does not matter how you live.
2. Without God, We Live Without Hope - If there is no God, then there is ultimately no hope for deliverance from the shortcomings of our finite existence.
3. If God Exists, You Can Know His Love Personally - If God does exist, then not only is there meaning and hope, but there is also the possibility of coming to know God and His love personally.
yes!
there are multiple arguments for GOD's existence
1. Biblical Argument - The Bible says that we must accept by faith the fact that God exists: “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him”
2. Cosmological Argument - here are different versions of the cosmological argument, but they all begin with the claim that the universe exists and, for one reason or another, depending on the argument form, needs an explanation for its existence.
3. Teleological or Design Argument - The design argument focuses on a specific aspect of the world: the apparent order or design contained within it. The following persons use the arguments that are all a posteriori in nature; that is, they include premises that are known through the experience of the natural world.
4. Ontological Argument -
From the Greek terms on, ontos = being, and logos = word, this kind of argument, which is a priori in nature is based on premises that can be known independently of experience of the natural world.
5. Transcendental Argument
- God’s transcendent character is the source of logic and morals. The transcendental argument for the existence of God argues that without the existence of God it is impossible to prove anything because, in the atheistic world, you cannot justify or account for universal laws.
6. Wager Argument - It is a better bet (to believe in God). He argues that the possible benefits of believing in God are much greater than the benefits of nonbelief. Even if the evidence for God is scant or nonexistent, the rational person will wager (risk or bet) on God since she has the possibility of eternal gain by believing and the possibility of eternal loss by choosing not to believe.
7. Moral Argument - there is a real Right and Wrong (an objective morality), and one who denies this lives inconsistently with his or her own beliefs. People across the world know the moral law; they live by it and sometimes violate it. Since objective moral values do exist, he argues, there must be a God.
8. Religious Experience - When a person believes that she has experienced God, that belief is justified unless she has sufficient reasons to think the belief is false or not sufficiently indicative of the truth of the belief.
